Brazil Custom Import & Export Data and Trade Statistics

According to Brazilian customs data, the import and export volume of Brazilian goods in January-March 2019 was US$94.79 billion, a decrease of 2.4% over the same period of the previous year. Among them, exports were 52.65 billion US dollars, down 3.7%; imports were 42.14 billion US dollars, down 0.7%. The trade surplus was US$10.52 billion, down 14.1%.

China, the United States, Argentina and Germany are Brazil's major importers, with imports of US$10.23 billion, US$6.52 billion, US$2.68 billion and US$2.44 billion respectively. Imports from China and Argentina increased by 31.6% and 13.7% respectively. USA and German imports fell by 5.7% and 2.2% respectively.

Brazil mainly imports mechanical and electrical products, chemical products and mineral products. In the first three months of 2019, imports totaled US$24.35 billion, accounting for 57.8% of Brazil's total imports.
